Microwave "final roast" coffee?

I found out about Smiles Coffee from an Inc magazine article on outsourcing.

I wasn't aware that microwaves could generate the appropriate kind of "heat" for a finishing roast, but as a coffee-nut I gotta try this out.

As if I wasn't already suspicious enough, why on earth do the owners think a celebrity spokesperson like Cheryl Ladd will drum up sales?

BTW, if anyone knows where I can buy this shirt plz drop me a line.

Motorcycling through Chernobyl

A haunting photographic journey through the wasteland that is today's Chernobyl.

Yet another reason why widespread nuclear power is a baaad idea. Humans are just not trustworthy enough as a group to be empowered with sooo much responsibility. The long term 600+ year consequences of the mistakes of this institution are hard to fathom.

Ugh. Too much sadness today.

Physical marketed as Virtual

Between Areva's clearly Sim-inspired graphics to Volvo's recent S40 commercial (where the car is featured ONLY as a GranTurismo-esque graphic) it seems that many virtual modeling aesthetics are now familiar enough to evoke the proper marketeering responses in certain demographics.

Oh how far we've come since Abel and Associates' Brilliance ad.

S-Cry-Ed

This anime looks intriguing, but Net-Flix seems to be eternally out of stock (sigh).
