Microsoft Zune

Sorry MS, I'm just not feeln' it for the Zune. Your attempts at being 'indie with the stick figure bunny art are lame, though I do appreciate the URL pun. We're not "all friends here" either. When has MS ever been successful with a first gen product anyways?

Carrying cash in the car a crime?

O.k. this is very screwed up. In an age of identity theft, non nation-state actors, and increasing lack of security for digital transactions, cash is more imporatant than ever--especially for new immigrants. One more reason never to allow a voluntary search of any of your personal belongings--including a car.

Suspicion equaling crime is not only un-American it's uncivilized.

PC Kitch

In the tradition of the floppy-drive raid array comes the even more ridiculous USB Grill.

I'm still waiting for a USB Espresso maker.

Virginia Tech campus closed today

My alma mater is closed today because a murderer is on the loose. Wow. Blacksburg, VA is the sleepiest of sleepy college towns. This is an unprecedented event.

PS3 will win the console war...uh...riiight

So the Yankee Group has come out with predictions for the PS3 to win the console war.

I just don't agree.

They haven't taken into account the changing time-task windows and social-gaming traditions of their target audience.

In other words, you'll never seen a game like Rayman Raving Rabbids on the PS3. Trust me, the fat part of the curve lies with folks attracted to bad bunnies wielding kitchen utensils and scuba gear.

Stranger than Fiction

In the tradition of Being John Malkovich and The Orchid Thief comes Stranger Than Fiction. This looks juicey. Queen Latifah aside, I would go to see this movie for the cast alone. I like the not-so-subtle "Son of Man" framing shot reference about 75% in. I wonder if some of the crew also worked on the modern remake of the Thomas Crown affair.

Billy McClure Mechima

1 part World of Warcraft + 1 part Michael Jackson's Billy Jean = Billy McClure video. Very nice work with the zooms and cuts.

Wow, I actually linked to a C|net property. Please forgive me. Mr. Merritt contributes on a shared mailing list and, girlfriend forgive me, Miss Belmont is quite the 'new hotness'.

Follow-Up:Sign me up for the public beta of Peasant Quest. Wootage!
